Green will now go through a possible concussion evaluation.
Team India is currently playing the three day day and night warm-up game against Australia A at the Sydney Cricket Ground. This is a crucial outing for the visitors, as they will play their first pink ball event (and second overall) in Australia. Some Test hopefuls are also playing for Australia A and one of them is Cameron Green, who is suggested to play the first game of the four-match series starting on December 17.
But his ambitions took a big hit on Friday on the first day of the ongoing warm-up game. He was bowling well keeping the opposition’s batting lineup at bay and had also chosen crucial Shubman Gill terrain. But the hosts were frustrated with one last stop between Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed siraj. The duo fought magnificently to get India out of trouble.
However, during the association, an unfortunate incident occurred when Cameron Green, while making his seventh over of innings, was hit on the head by Bumrah. He landed a short blow at the pitcher who caught himself with the ball coming back at him at a blazing pace. Although Green made an effort to catch him, he ended up hitting him on the head.
He fell shortly after the hit and although Cameron Green looked good, he left the field. The SUV will now go through the mandatory concussion evaluation and will also likely be checked for any possible facial fractures.

Another injury scare for Australia
Meanwhile, this is another injury scare for Australia ahead of the first test. Cameron Green had hit the century in the previous warm-up game and pitched well too. He was being tipped to be the team’s all-rounder. But this injury will cause Australia’s management to worry, as a possible concussion will knock him out of the series opener in Adelaide.
Further, David warner He will also miss the first test and with Joe Burns also fighting for runs at the top of the order, the hosts will have to be in their prime against a top bowling attack from India. More updates on Cameron Green’s health are expected to arrive soon.
