New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mentioned a few days when banking operations will be closed in the month of December.
However, it should be noted that holidays vary in various states and are not observed by all banking companies. Bank holidays are also dependent on the festivals observed in specific states or the notification of specific occasions in those states.
December 25 (Friday) Christmas is a public holiday during which all banks in the country will be closed. RBI places this day as a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and a real-time gross settlement holiday.
