New Delhi: the brutal murder of Nikita Tomar in broad daylight outside your college in Ballabhgarh, Faridabad it has outraged several in the country. The 21-year-old was reportedly shot to death by a defendant identified as Tausif, who was accompanied by another person named Rehan. Actress Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the incident on Twitter.

According to PTI, a special investigation team has been formed to ensure a swift investigation of the case, Haryana Interior Minister Anil Vij said. Police said main defendant Tausif, a native of Sohna in Gurgaon, and his accomplice Rehan, who is from Nuh, have been arrested.
The two men were brought before a court in the Faridabad district and sent to remand for two days.
Nikita, a B.Com student last year, had left her university after taking an exam Monday afternoon when the incident occurred, Ballabhgarh ACP Jaiveer Singh Rathi previously said.
The defendant, who arrived at the scene in a car, had attempted to carry the woman inside in an attempt to kidnap her, but she resisted, after which the key defendant shot her, police said. They took her to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries, the ACP said.
The girl’s father alleged that Tausif had been harassing her for the past two years and pressuring her to marry, to which she refused. He also claimed that Tausif was trying to convert Nikita.
“He should receive the death penalty and our family should receive security,” said the woman’s father. During the investigation, it emerged that the main defendant was the woman’s classmate, police said.
The complete sequence of the crime was captured by someone through a mobile phone, whose images went viral on social networks.
In the video, Tausif, along with his accomplice, is seen arriving outside the university and parking the white car on the road. Nikita is seen walking down the street accompanied by one of her friends and the accused suddenly pulls out a gun and shoots her behind the ear from very close, leaving her in a pool of blood at the scene.
Before some passersby, who became aware of the crime, could react, the two defendants fled the scene in their car.
The incident sparked protests with students and local residents who blocked the Sohna-Ballabgarh highway for several hours on Tuesday.
Several people have also reacted to the news on social media, with many trending hashtags on Twitter, demanding justice for Nikita Tomar.
