Surekha Sikri is currently admitted to a Mumbai hospital after suffering a stroke on Tuesday. Her Badhaai Ho co-star Gajraj Rao and director Amit Sharma have ensured that there will be no financial hurdles to her treatment.
Gajraj Rao told the Times of India: “Both Amit Sharma, the director of Badhaai Ho, and I are in contact with Surekha ji’s secretary, Vivek, and yes, we are all there with her and we will provide all the help we can. “.
Amit Sharma said: “I am in Goa, but I have been in contact with his family.” She added: “I have not spoken to anyone else but people close to her: her family, nurse and manager. I will do my best to provide whatever help is needed and I don’t think there will be any financial hurdles to your treatment. “
“She suffered a stroke earlier today. She is in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Its parameters continue to be closely monitored. She is critical but stable. She was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai this afternoon, ”her agent Vivek Sidhwani told PTI on Tuesday.

Winner of three national film awards, Sikri, a veteran of film, theater and television, is best known for her performances in Tamas, Mammo, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro, Zubeidaa, and the soap opera Balika Vadhu. She received widespread praise for her role as a grandmother in Badhaai Ho (2018), starring Ayushmann Khurrana. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film. The actor was not doing well at the time and had shown up in a wheelchair to receive the award. Sikri was last seen in Netflix’s Ghost Stories, directed by Zoya Akhtar.
