Babri verdict on September 30, LK Advani asked to appear in court


Lucknow: A special court of the IWC that will hear the case of demolition of the Babri mosque will pronounce its ruling on September 30.

Judge SK Yadav has ordered all defendants to remain in court on the day of the trial.

The 32 defendants include former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani and BJP leaders MM Joshi, Kalyan Singh, Uma Bharti and Vinay Katiyar.

CBI’s lawyer, Lalit Singh, told PTI that the defense and prosecution arguments were concluded on September 1, and the special judge subsequently began to draft the ruling.

The CBI has presented 351 witnesses and around 600 documentary evidence in court. The Babri Mosque in Ayodhya was demolished by karsevaks on December 6, 1992.
