Ayodhya’s Deepotsav Makes Guinness World Record By Lighting More Than 6 Lakh Diyas, CM Yogi Adityanath Says 7.51 Lakh Will Be Lit In 2021 | India News

Ayodhya: The holy city of Ayodhya on Friday (November 13, 2020) made a new record by lighting more than 5.84 lakh diyas as part of the ‘Deepotsav’ celebrations.

The celebrations have reached Guinness World Records for ‘the largest display of oil lamps’ that were lit on the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya.

6,06,569 diyas were lit as part of Deepotsav’s first celebrations since the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ram Temple Construction.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who also participated in the Deepotsav celebrations, dedicated the album to Ram devotees.

He said they are going to light 7.51 lakh diyas in 2021.

He also offered prayers to Lord Ram at the Ram Janmabhoomi site and performed an ‘aarti’.

CM Yogi said it was thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that devotees around the world were able to see the construction of Ram Mandir.

“For several years, devotees around the world wanted to see the construction work on Lord Ram’s great temple. Their wish was fulfilled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” CM Yogi said.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India and the entire world are seeing the fulfillment of the five-century resolution today. I congratulate Prime Minister Modi and express my gratitude to him,” said CM Yogi Adityanath.

He also commented that Prime Minister Modi himself came for the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ from the Ram Temple.
