Rohit Sharma, parked on the second slide, delivered a surprising low reception as he dived fully to send Australian batsman David Warner back in the first over of the fourth test underway in Brisbane. Mohammed Siraj threw a long pitch that moved from the wicket and caught the edge of Warner’s bat, as he looked to defend the ball. Rohit, who had dropped a babysitter in Jasprit Bumrah’s previous test, made no mistake this time around as she held onto the ball to give India an early breakthrough.

The Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to call Rohit’s effort “impressive.”

Previously, Australia captain Tim Paine won the toss and opted to hit in the Final Test of the 4-game series at Gabba.
The visitors entered with four forced changes due to injuries to their stars in the Sydney Test. T Natarajan and Washington Sundar received debuts.

The four-game series is tied at 1-1 after India pulled off a close tie at Sydney Cricket Ground as the visitors hit 131 overs to save the game.
