AUS vs IND: Rohit Sharma passes the physical condition test, to leave for Australia on December 14



India got a big boost on Friday ahead of the start of the four-round Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia. Star hitter Rohit Sharma. who underwent a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, passed in form and will leave for Australia on December 14. Rohit Sharma had suffered a hamstring injury during the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, but participated in the final. However, he was deemed unfit for the rigors of test cricket and went to the NCA for rehabilitation.

India will already be without captain Virat Kohli after the first final test in Adelaide after he was granted paternity leave. The news that Rohit Sharma is back in shape will undoubtedly be a great sigh of relief for the Indian camp in Australia.

Rohit will go into quarantine after arriving in Australia, it is unclear how long he will remain in isolation before he is allowed to join the rest of the team.

And although it will definitely not be part of the XI of game in the first test, there is no confirmation on its availability for the second game.

India plays a four Test series against Australia, starting December 17 in Adelaide. Visitors will seek to replicate the successes of the last tour, when the team, led by Virat Kohli, became the first Indian team to win a test series in Australia.
