Fans on Twitter have been left scratching their heads after the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) announced the Test, ODI and T20I squads for the Australian tour. The biggest surprise was the absence of Rohit Sharma’s name on all three teams. Rohit has missed the last two games of the 2020 IPL league for the Mumbai Indians due to a hamstring injury and the BCCI Senior National Selection Committee said his medical team will continue to monitor his progress. However, shortly after BCCI’s announcement, the Mumbai Indians Twitter user shared a video of Rohit in “full flow” during a web session.

Fans on Twitter were in turmoil after seeing Rohit’s bat, with many questioning BCCI’s decision to drop him from the teams for the Australian tour so early.
It seems that Hitman has recovered feeling good watching him hit.

How is it that a player who is fit and well can stand by saying that he is monitoring a situation where there is so much time left for the tour?

Rohit Sharma has yet to be ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League in the UAE, and video of him hitting on the net further dispelled those fears.
That begs the question why BCCI decided to drop his name so early, in time for him to regain his physical form before the Australian tour.
The Mumbai Indians captain has not been at his best at the 2020 IPL. Rohit has scored 260 runs in nine games with an average of 28.88 and a strike rate of 129.35. So far it has only reached two half centuries with a high score of 80.
Promoted
Fortunately for Mumbai, players like Quinton de Kock, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan have stepped up and played some crucial shots. Although Rohit is not at his best, his team has done brilliantly this season until the last few games, after losing the opener to the Chennai Super Kings.
Mumbai Indians rank well at the top of the 2020 IPL points chart with 14 points, as are Delhi Capitals (second) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (third). MI has three more games left to secure a spot in the top four, which will see them once again qualify for the playoffs.
