India secured the three-match T20I series against Australia by winning the first two matches. The hosts, however, defeated India by 12 runs in the third and final T20I to record a consolation victory. Making his T20I debut for the Indian team, fast pitcher T. Natarajan cast some great spells and finished the T20I series as the leader in wicket takers with six wickets. Australia starter David Warner, who missed the T20I series due to injury, took to Instagram to congratulate his teammate SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on a fantastic debut. Natarajan was initially included in the touring group of India as a net pitcher, but saw a change in fortune and was included in both the ODI team and the T20I as a replacement due to injury.
After an impressive outing in his international debut in the final match of the ODI series, the SRH bowler shot impressively in his first T20I game and returned with 3/30 of his four overs.
Natarajan continued his hot streak in the next game and pitched economically in a high-scoring match, picking up two key wickets.

In the second T20I, when all the Indian bowlers conceded more than eight runs over, Natarajan kept things tight from his end and gave only 20 runs in his four-plus period and also accounted for two major wickets, helping to India to keep the hosts in. the 200-run mark.
