BARASAT (WB): A convoy of cars led by West Bengal BJP President Dilip ghosh was attacked on Saturday in the Parganas district of West Bengal North 24, sparking a fight between activists from the saffron party and the ruling Trinamool Congress, police said.
While the BJP accused the Trinamool Congress of attacking the demonstration in Minakha, the ruling party denied the accusation and alleged that workers from the saffron camp looted the party’s office in the area.
Police said at least two vehicles, which were at the rear of the saffron party’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ demonstration, were damaged after stones were thrown at them in Malancha, below the area of ​​the Minakha police station.
The BJP launched Parivartan Yatra demonstrations ahead of the state assembly election, which will likely take place in April-May.
The BJP also claimed that four party workers were injured after bombs were thrown at two cadres.
However, police said no bombs were used in the attack and there were no reports of casualties.
Activists from the two sides got into a fight after the vehicles were attacked, police said.

TMC leaders alleged that BJP workers vandalized their party’s office in the area.
A few days ago, BJP leader Fitoze Kamal Gazi, alias Babu Master, was injured in an attack in the Minakha area.
The convoy of the BJP national president JP Naddas was attacked in December last year in the 24th district of southern Parganas.
