Speaking to a news portal, Someshwar Kanthe, chief police inspector at the Amboli police station, said that they have registered an Accidental Death Register (ADR) and are investigating the matter. Preliminary investigation and autopsy reports do not indicate any dirty acts. He also added that the incident took place on Sunday night between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
According to Amboli police officers, Akshat died by suicide and was depressed due to lack of work. However, his family has reportedly dismissed the depression narrative, claiming that the aspiring actor was murdered. His body was taken to his native Muzaffarpur by his family on Tuesday. They have alleged police negligence.
The late actor, a native of Muzaffarpur, was in Mumbai to pursue a career in acting.
