A face-to-face battle between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Ladakh is passing every day.
BJP President JP Nadda attacked former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday for his remarks on June 15, in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed. He took Dr. Asked Singh and his Congress party not to insult the soldiers of India and claimed that there were 600 Chinese incursions during the former Prime Minister’s tenure.
Today, Congress leader P Chidambaram said that Nadda should ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi about 2,264 Chinese intrusions from 2015.
“BJP President @JPNadda asked former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh to explain 600 Chinese incursions into India between 2010 and 2013. Yes, there was an incursion but no Indian territory was occupied by China And Indian soldiers were not killed in violent clashes, ”Chidambaram said in his first tweet on Tuesday.
In a series of tweets that followed, the Congress leader again took his party’s line to attack the face-to-face PM Modi-led government in Ladakh.
“Will @JPNadda ask the current PM to explain 2264 Chinese intrusions since 2015? I made a bet that he would not dare to ask that question, ”Chidambaram said in his second tweet.
Will @JPNadda ask the current PM to explain 2264 Chinese intrusions since 2015?
I’m sure he wouldn’t dare ask that question.– P. Chidambaram (@PChidambaram_IN) June 23, 2020
He also cited a news report to claim that a major construction had taken place in the Ladakh region. “They are all in Ladakh. Do they not indicate Chinese incursions and occupation of Indian territory? “Chidambaram said in his last tweet in the series.
Dr. Attacking Singh, BJP chief Nadda on Monday said on Twitter that he and his Congress party should stop insulting the security forces repeatedly and question their bravery.
“Please stop insulting the army repeatedly by questioning their bravery.” You made these air strikes and surgical strikes. Please understand the true meaning of national unity, especially in such times. It is never too late to mend it, ”Nadda said on Twitter.
This comment was made about the face-to-face between Indian and Chinese military in Ladakh last week. In response to a statement by Singh.
Dr. Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should always be conscious of the implications of his words, a reference to the controversy arising out of Prime Minister Modi’s remarks at an all-party meeting on Friday. The former Prime Minister also said that the government should move towards the spot to ensure justice for Colonel B Santosh Babu and other jawans killed in action.
The BJP reacted by accusing the Congress of politicizing the issue. Dr. Singh said, “Only Dr. Singh was only concerned about Chinese designs when he handed over a hundred square kilometer area of India’s land to China as PM. He presided over more than 600 incursions made by China between 2010 and 2013! “Nadda said.
