Hyderabad: Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi organized food for at least 30 poor Hindu families on Saturday (April 25) after receiving a distress call from a woman.
The woman, identified as Madhavi from the Lal Darwaza area near Charminar, which is under the Owaisi constituency, called the MP and informed her that there are some 30 families, the majority belonging to the lower poverty line (GLP), who are not they have groceries in their homes. and they can’t cook food.
“I called Asad Saab and told him that, like me and my family, there are many close families who cannot go out to buy food due to the confinement and asked for help. Within an hour, he sent 30 packages of food. Local people and He helped us. We appreciate it, “said the woman.
On Friday, Owaisi distributed PPE kits to Asha and Anganwadi workers along with local police and municipal workers worth Rs 15 lakh.
“I do not see caste or religion if a person approaches me or my group for help. We always help those in need,” he has said this on several occasions.
It should be noted that Owaisi is one of the most controversial political figures in India and is known to be in the news for his comments.
