As WhatsApp continues to criticize its new privacy policy, the company’s loss of Facebook has turned into a gain for alternative apps like Telegram and Signal. Now, as more and more people leave the messaging platform, Signal dominates social media conversations with internet-breaking memes and jokes.
Many users are now switching to privacy-focused messaging app Signal due to privacy concerns of WhatsApp and as a result it became the top free app on the App Store in India and more countries. It all started after Tesla and the CEO of SpaceX publicly endorsed the app urging everyone to use it.

Following the announcement of WhatsApp, alternative messaging apps are experiencing a sudden increase in demand. More than 100,000 users installed Signal on Apple and Google app stores in the past two days, while Telegram picked up nearly 2.2 million downloads, according to data analytics firm Sensor Tower, Reuters reported.
Now, people share jokes and memes while migrating to Signal from WhatsApp, poking fun at the latter.
