On a day when the country witnessed more active Covid-19 cases than recoveries For the first time in 47 days, the central government has decided to send high-level teams to Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to support them in the response and management of the pandemic.

Across the country, this Thursday a total of 45,882 new cases were detected, slightly higher than the 44,807 that were declared recovered.

All three states have recently witnessed a marked increase in the number of active coronavirus cases. Earlier, similar equipment was sent to Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Manipur and Chhattisgarh.

“These three-member teams will visit districts reporting high numbers of COVID-19 cases and will support state efforts to strengthen containment, surveillance, testing, infection prevention and control measures, and efficient clinical management of COVID-19. positive cases. The central teams will also guide in the effective management of challenges related to timely diagnosis and follow-up, ”said the Union Ministry of Health, quoted by the PTI news agency.

“The gap between active and recovered cases is constantly increasing and is currently 80,80,655,” the ministry noted.

With the addition of nearly 46,000 new cases Thursday, the total number of confirmed infections in the country has passed the 90 lakh mark. Of these, more than 84.28 lakh, or nearly 94 percent, have recovered from the disease, while more than 1.32 lakh have died.

Prior to this, when Delhi witnessed a surge, Interior Minister Amit Shah intervened a second time to give instructions on how to combat the situation. The Center announced a series of steps: adding more ICU beds, doubling the number of daily RT-PCR tests, and conducting house-to-house surveys.

Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal said Thursday that all Private hospitals in the capital would have to reserve 80 percent of their ICU beds. and up to 60 percent of normal beds for coronavirus patients, and postpone non-critical surgeries. This will lead to an increase of 2,644 beds.

Too, Ahmedabad city entered “full curfew” from Friday night to Monday morning and only stores that sell milk and medicines remain open. A nightly curfew will be imposed indefinitely on Monday night thereafter.

The Rajasthan government announced a nightly curfew in eight district headquarters on Saturday with immediate effect. A government statement said that markets, restaurants, shopping malls and other commercial establishments in the urban areas of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar and Bhilwara will remain open until 7 p.m., while the curfew night will be imposed from 8 pm to 6 am.
