Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal said today that his government has received some five lakh suggestions from people in the national capital on how to safely exit the blockade required by the highly infectious coronavirus.
Kejriwal said they will meet with the Lt. Delhi government tonight and give him a summary of the suggestions that will be sent to the center.
He said businesses like salons, spas and movie theaters are risky since people could come into contact despite strict social distancing guidelines, indicating that they may remain closed.
“We received a lot of suggestions from market associations. They said that markets could be opened using the even and odd rule every other day,” Kejriwal said in an informational video for journalists today.
“Some people asked if we could start public buses. They said that many offices can work now, but not all of them have a vehicle and need public transport. How are they going to get to their office? Some said that the Delhi metro should operate in a in a very limited way. What defines this limit, we will analyze, “Kejriwal said.
