Arvind Kejriwal Arrested: Arvind Kejriwal Under ‘House Arrest’ In Delhi | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday alleged that Delhi police have put the prime minister Arvind kejriwal under house arrest after meeting with farmers protesting at the Singhu border, a claim that the city police denied.
Kejriwal had visited the Singhu border on Monday and checked the facilities for farmers protesting against agricultural marketing laws.

At a press conference, AAP spokesman Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that the Delhi police have placed Kejriwal under house arrest.
“Under the direction of the Home Office, the Delhi police have placed Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest since he visited the farmers at the Singhu border. No one has been allowed to enter or leave his residence. Our MLAs they were beaten. There are strong barricades and even the domestic worker cannot enter their house, “he alleged.
“We will all march to the CM residence and make sure the prime minister is released,” he said.

Refuting the accusation, a senior Delhi police officer said: “This is not true. The prime minister can come and go anywhere. We have our security personnel deployed outside his residence. Even last night, he had left.”
“There are absolutely no restrictions on the movement of people. We have deployed our teams there as a precautionary measure to avoid any confrontation between members of the BJP and the AAP,” the official said.
