Here is their Arsenal morning recap for Sunday April 26.

Gunners make decision on training at London Colney

Arsenal will allow its players to return to outdoor training at London Colney next week, the club confirmed.

Manager Mikel Arteta was diagnosed with coronavirus on March 12, and the Gunners’ training camp has since been closed.

However, the club has confirmed to football.london that they will allow players to train at Colney starting next week while continuing to take social distancing measures.

The club has 10 pitches that are currently not being used, and Arsenal is confident that this can be used as a safe outer space for training.

“Players will have access to Colney’s land next week,” the statement said.

Arsenal Spurs trolls on Twitter

This weekend would have been the second North London Derby of the season between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

With the two sides set to go head-to-head this weekend, the Spurs’ Twitter account said they would replay some of the famous goals from Tottenham’s point of view.

It wasn’t the best time, though, as the game fell on the same day (Saturday) that the Gunners won the league at White Hart Lane in their “Invincibles” season 16 years ago.

The Arsenal Twitter account simply responded with a gif of the legend Thierry Henry smiling at the camera, with the Frenchman so influential in that record campaign.

The Gunners’ social media account tweet has received more than 35,000 likes and more than 11,000 retweets.

Gunners chase Fekir as replacement for Ceballos

Arsenal has consulted to sign Real Betis attacker Nabil Fekir, according to the Spanish newspaper Diario AS.

The Gunners are interested in the Frenchman, who came very close to signing for Liverpool in 2018 when he was in Lyon.

His move to Betis last summer came as a shock to many as he was so close to joining the Reds just 12 months earlier.

With Dani Ceballos’ loan from Real Madrid in the coming months, there is no guarantee that he will be an Arsenal player next season.

Fekir could be an ideal replacement for the Spanish, as the France international scored seven goals and provided three league assists for Betis this season.

However, it won’t be cheap as Arsenal received £ 44m to sign the 26-year-old from the Spanish club.
