Armed Forces Must Be Prepared for Hybrid Threats: IAF Chief


The armed forces must be prepared for hybrid threats emanating from multiple fronts, which demands a high level of knowledge, dedication, commitment and sacrifice and leadership at all levels at all times, the chief of the Indian Air Force said on Saturday, RKS Bhadauria.

He was heading to the fainting parade of 217 cadets from Course 139 at the National Defense Academy (NDA) in Pune.

Addressing the cadets here, Bhadauria said that he is honored to review the 139th parade, adding that the excellent standard of the parade shown today “exemplifies the spirit of this great institution.”

“Our military must be prepared for hybrid threats emanating from multiple fronts. This demands a very high level of knowledge, dedication, commitment and sacrifice and leadership at all levels at all times. This is what every service and nation expects of As a budding military professional, you must begin to understand that geopolitical changes around the world have a direct bearing on the security environment in our neighborhood, “he said.

The head of the IAF declared that the NDA is one of the best academies in the world.

Highlighting that today’s battlespace is highly complex and multi-dimensional with unpredictable security scenarios and high operational pace, he said: “In the battlespace, operational response and demand will be a synergistic approach integrated into all operations.”

“The appointment of the Chief of Defense Staff and the formation of the DMA marks the beginning of a historic phase of superior defense reforms in our country. All who were trained in this best three-service institute at the beginning of the training called NDAs are actually better equipped to transform this era of commonwealth as you grow in your respective services, ”he concluded.
