Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar, is currently in the United Arab Emirates and is helping Mumbai Indians (MI) batsmen prepare for IPL 2020. Arjun, who represented India Sub -19 in youth test matches in 2018, he has traveled to the UAE as part of the contingent of net pitchers.
Also in the past, it has been a part of IM practice sessions. Apart from that, he has also played against the Indian cricket team on a couple of occasions.
Earlier this week, Arjun confirmed that he had traveled to the United Arab Emirates with MI. The 20-year-old has stunned fans with his latest social media post, where he can be seen flaunting his abs in his post-workout photo.
The national team and many IPL franchises have set certain minimum standards of aptitude for the team and it appears that Arjun has been paying special attention to his aptitude for the IPL.
The rules do not allow an unregistered player to be part of the IPL, but since teams are already bringing a pool of players to the UAE, they may be allowed to bring in a player from the pool of players who are in the United Arab Emirates. Look at Arjun’s photo –
The tall, lanky pacemaker is also a useful hitter and can score crucial runs while hitting anywhere. Besides junior cricket, he has also been a part of the Mumbai T20 League. Arjun has yet to make his senior cricket debut.
He also has the experience of bowling for the England cricket team. Three years ago, he injured Jonny Bairstow with a yorker and forced him to miss the entire practice session. A few days later, he played the Indian women’s team on the eve of the World Cup final.
Arjun is expected to make his domestic cricket debut soon. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians face Chennai Super Kings in the season opener on September 19.
