After being questioned for a second day by the Bureau of Narcotics Control (NCB), Arjun Rampal’s partner Gabriella Demetriades has denied ever using or selling drugs, senior NCB officials told CNN-NEWS18. Your statement will be recorded today.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, a senior investigative team official said he also reportedly distanced himself from his brother Agisilaos Demetriades, who is currently in NCB custody in 2 cases for alleged drug acquisition, storage and sale.
When asked about the drugs recovered from Arjun’s house where he is staying with him, Gabriella, according to NCB sources, has stated that she is not aware of them. He has also denied that Arjun Rampal ever used drugs.
Arjun, meanwhile, will be questioned by the OCN on Friday at 10 am. On November 9, the NCB had conducted a raid on Rampal’s residence in Mumbai as part of its investigation into alleged drug use in Bollywood.
The search at the residence of the model-turned-actor came a day after the NCB arrested Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife, Shabana Saeed, after ganja was allegedly found at her residence in suburban Juhu.
The NCB had seized electronic devices such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets during the search at Rampal’s residence and questioned the actor’s driver.
