New Delhi: Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal, his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades and their young son Arik are in Karjat in the midst of a lockdown to fight the deadly outbreak of new coronaviruses. The actor in his recent interview with Mid-Day.com revealed why he prefers to stay there, as the pandemic has wreaked havoc in Maharashtra.
Arjun Rampal told Mid-Day.com: “Since there are no cases here, we are safe. We have an open space and we are in the middle of nature instead of being confined to an apartment.”
“I thought it would be better to operate from here rather than travel at this point. I have a house here, so it worked well. We decided to stay behind for my son’s safety. Although he is too young now, this will be a story to tell him when he grows up. Furthermore, Mumbai is only a few hours away and is therefore easily accessible in an emergency. “
Of his daughters Mahikaa and Myra, who are staying with ex-wife and supermodel Mehr Jessia in Mumbai, Arjun said: “They are doing their job online and I am constantly chatting with them.”
In July of last year, Arjun and Gabriella were blessed with a baby Arik.
On the job front, Arjun Rampal was last seen in famed director JP Dutta’s multi-star war drama ‘Paltan’ and is currently working on Shailesh Varma’s ‘Nastik’. He will next be seen in a supernatural thriller ‘Anjaan’, directed by Amitebdra Vats and written by Pooja Ballutia.
