Are you going to visit Shirdi for Sai darshan? Pass online, children under 10 years old and people over 65 years old are not allowed

With the temples Y religious places which will reopen in Maharashtra starting tomorrow, strict protocols and SoPs are being implemented to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The Maharashtra government allowed religious sites to reopen on Sunday, saying, you have to take off your slippers and enter the temple, but don’t forget that a mask is mandatory. The temples had been closed since the lockdown was imposed due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Now the famous Sai temple of Shirdi which will reopen after eight months, has put in place a mechanism so that the temple is not filled with the faithful at the same time.

To avoid the rush, tokens will be given for darshan. Whereas, devotees coming from outside of Shirdi will have to get a pass online.

However, children under the age of ten and people over the age of 65 will not be able to visit.

Facilities for sanitation, thermal protection and foot washing will be arranged in the queue of darshan. Devotees will not be able to visit the temples of Samadhi and Dwarkamai.

Kanhuraj Bagate, Shirdi Sansthan CEO, said: “Shirdi villagers should also cooperate for the opportunity they have to express their faith. Take the token and come at the time given for darshan. It will be difficult to help a devotee arriving after the allotted time. In addition, Shirdi villagers must carry their voting cards with them when they arrive. Citizens outside of Shirdi must take the darshan pass online. ”
