Apollo Hospitals Says It Is Prepared To Administer 10 Lakh Of Covid-19 Vaccines A Day


In an effort to support the government’s valiant battle against the novel coronavirus pandemic, Apollo Hospitals announced that it is ready to administer 10 lakh of Covid-19 vaccines daily.

The group will leverage its robust pan India network of 19 drug supply centers with cold chain facilities and use its 70 hospitals, more than 400 clinics, 500 corporate health centers, 4,000 pharmacies along with its 24X7 Apollo omnichannel digital platform to ensure a massive administration capacity of Vaccines for COVID-19.

About 30% of India is within about 30 minutes of an Apollo pharmacy, which can then ensure a safe and widespread reach of the vaccine, if necessary, the company said in a statement.

More than 10,000 Apollo employees are receiving the required training and will be stationed at Apollo centers to administer the vaccine.

The Apollo Hospitals statement also said that technology will play an important role in ensuring that all citizens have access to the vaccine and how it will be administered and prioritized. Also, Apollo 24 | 7 will host a dedicated platform for all information related to the Covid vaccine.

All users will be able to register at Apollo 24 | 7 and keep them abreast of the latest updates on vaccine development. The platform will generate a unique number for each user who registers on the platform and will ensure interoperability with the effort of NDHM. Through the portal, users will be receiving constant updates on vaccines.
