According to the latest reports, her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, will be home for the birth of their first child, as he was granted paternity leave by the Indian cricket board, BCCI.
Reports indicate that the Cricket captain will return home from Australia after the opening test match in Adelaide next month to attend the birth of his son.
The cricketer, who has been eagerly awaiting his parental duties, informed the BCCI of his plans to return home well in advance, board secretary Jay Shah said in a statement.
“The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain. He will return after the first test against Australia in Adelaide,” Shah said.
Virat and Anushka announced that they were expecting their first child together in August. The baby is expected to arrive in January 2021.
“And then, there were three of us! It will arrive in January 2021, ”Anushka said in a post on social media while delivering the happy news to all her fans.
