The former wife of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, film editor Aarti Bajaj and friends from the industry, Tisca Chopra and Surveen Chawla, backed the director after actor Payal Ghosh accused him of sexual harassment. On Saturday, Ghosh took to Twitter, stating that the Gangs of Wasseypur The director was sexually inappropriate with her, an accusation Kashyap called “unfounded.”
Ghosh, 30, tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet and asked him to take action against the filmmaker. Kashyap’s first wife, Bajaj, said that the filmmaker was someone who made sure to create a safe work environment for his co-workers.
“First wife here … You are a rock star @ anuragkashyap10. Keep empowering women like you do and the safest place you create for all of them. I see it first hand with our daughter,” Bajaj posted on Instagram. “There is no integrity left and the world is full of losers and there are no brains howling for the blood of anyone with a voice. If everyone spends that energy they use to hate others in a constructive way, this world will be a better place.” .
Calling Ghosh’s indictment the “cheapest” stunt, Bajaj urged Kashyap to continue to speak out against all evils. “Cheapest trick I’ve seen so far. First it pissed me off, then I laughed so hard because it can’t come more framed than this. I’m sorry you have to go through this. That’s their level. Using your voice. We love you.” he added.

Payal Ghosh accuses Anurag Kashyap
Payal Ghosh claimed that Anurag Kashyap sexually assaulted her in 2014-15 in an interview with ABN Telugu news channel. He claimed that Kashyap made an inappropriate gesture while seeking a sexual act from her, after inviting her into another room. Payal claimed that she bragged that other actresses agreed to her similar demands and that many were ready to ‘sleep with her just to share a frame with Ranbir Kapoor’. Her ambitious film Bombay Velvet had not been released then.
In a tweet to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Payal wrote that Kashyap had “forced” her. Seeking action against the “demon behind creative talent,” she claimed it could be harmed and sought protection.
