A day after Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap revealed on September 9 a series of WhatsApp messages between the Rajput manager and himself, showing that the director was unwilling to work with the Rajput.
The texts seem to indicate that the Rajput had tricked him when Kashyap approached him for a project and that episode had left a bitter taste in Kashyap’s mouth.
“He is too troublesome a man. I met him before he started, I got him his first movie ‘Kai Po Che’, ”Kashyap said in his WhatsApp exchange with the Rajput manager.
The director made this inference from Rajput’s personality when his manager wrote to Kashyap about keeping the actor in mind when choosing Kashyap’s future projects. The director claimed that he was posting all those personal messages about Rajput to underline that Bollywood and directors like him cared deeply about Rajputs.
The director goes on to reveal that he had chosen the Rajput for a project, but shelved it when the Rajput refused to acknowledge his calls or text messages.
Kashyap’s messages seem to suggest that ‘Dil Bechara’ director Mukesh Chhabra played a major role in the Rajput’s cold demeanor towards him.
Kashyap has been at the forefront of defending Chakraborty’s innocence and has consistently supported her. Hours after Chakraborty’s arrest in Mumbai by the Office of Narcotics Control, Kashyap tweeted the slogan ‘Roses are red, violets are blue, let’s crush the patriarchy, you and me’, the slogan stamped on Chakraborty’s shirt that day. .

His revealing posts about the Rajput and questionable work ethic have not gone down very well with Twitter users.
Most criticized him for accumulating messages that were exchanged between him and the Rajput manager.
“How does this prove everything that is said about him? This only shows that you feel guilty because you held a grudge against him and he held you in high regard, but he cheated on you once. This was unnecessary as it does not test anything and does not answer any of the questions, ”commented one user.
Another user commented that a star or an actor has the right to choose who they work with and what movies they make.
