Anurag Kashyap Denies Payal Ghosh’s Sexual Assault Allegations; talks about their marriages

Breaking his silence on the allegations of sexual assault by actor Payal Ghosh on Saturday, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap rejected all the allegations saying they are “unfounded”. In a Hindi tweet, Kashyap said: “Wow, it took me so long to try to silence myself. You lied so much in this effort and you also dragged other women despite being a woman. Have some dignity ma’am! I’ll just say all your accusations are unfounded. “

He said: “In the process of accusing me, you also dragged the Bachchan family and my artists, but you failed. I got married twice. If it is a crime, then I accept it. I also admit that I have loved very much if she was my first wife, my second wife, or any lover, or any other woman I’ve worked with. “

“I will never behave in this way or tolerate such manners. I will see what happens. I will pray and love. Apologies for answering your English with my Hindi,” Kashyap added.

‘I am seeking action against him’

Speaking to ANI, Payal Ghosh said that he spoke with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and asked the Center and state governments for protection. “I have been advised to file a complaint. The National Commission for Women has also asked me to file a complaint,” she said. “I ask the authorities to be kind enough to take action and let the country see the devil behind this creative guy. I am aware that he can harm me and my safety is at risk. I am seeking action against him,” Ghosh said.

In an interview with ABN Telugu news channel, the actor recounted the incident claiming that Kashyap allegedly told him that he “shouldn’t think about denying a big star like him” as it would allegedly “benefit her in the future.” He also alleged that Kashyap had threatened to keep quiet about the incident, reminding him of the “acid attacks” on women. Following Payal’s tweet, actress Kangana Ranaut came out in support of her and tweeted.
