Anna Hazare’s letter leaves Delhi BJP red-faced | India News

NEW DELHI: In an embarrassment to Delhi BJP, social activist Anna Hazare it has rejected their request to join a “mass movement” against the Aam Aadmi Party and called the request unfortunate. The head of the Delhi BJP, Adesh Gupta, had written to Hazare on Monday to join the Delhi BJP movement against the AAP, which he said was the “new name for political, social and economic corruption.”
“I was sorry to read your letter to the press. BJP has ruled at the Center for more than six years. It is regrettable that the party that claims to be the largest in the world is calling an 83-year-old faqir without power or wealth for a movement, ”Hazare declared in a letter to Gupta. The letter has also been posted on the activist’s verified Facebook page.

Hazare stated that various administrative subjects of Delhi are under the central government. “P.M Narendra modi he claims that the central government has taken firm measures to eradicate corruption. Why doesn’t your government take strict legal measures if the Delhi government has engaged in corruption? Hazare asked.
The 2011 movement began against the rise in corruption that had made people’s lives difficult. He incited people to join the movement. “In 2014, his government came to power promising a country free from corruption. But people have not felt any relief. Those in power find fault with other parties. Sometimes it takes introspection, ”Hazare said.
The embarrassment came shortly after the Shaheen Bagh fiasco for the Delhi unit of the saffron party. Recently, the Delhi BJP welcomed some 50 residents of Shaheen Bagh to the party, including some who supported the protests against the CAA. AAP used the development to attack the BJP and claimed that the Shaheen Bagh protests were sponsored by the BJP.
In reaction to Hazare’s letter, the head of the Delhi BJP said that the Delhi BJP has a strong organization and is capable of leading all kinds of mass movements, but wanted the symbolic presence of the social activist because AAP was born out of the movement that Hazare led. Arvind kejriwal.
“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has taken very strong initiatives to eradicate corruption, such as the direct transfer of profits, which eliminated the interference of intermediaries,” Gupta said.
