Actress Ankita Lokhande has planted saplings in memory of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Following her photos, the actress was joined by her dog as she planted the saplings.
She captioned them: “Hatchi and Mom. My partner in almost everything, planting plants, seedlings. It’s our way of remembering him fulfilling his dream # plants4SSR.”
His Sunday tweet comes a day after Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, reminded fans of the late actor about the campaign.
“And let’s not forget our # Plant4SSR campaign tomorrow. I can’t wait to see you planting trees for our beloved Sushant. What a wonderful constructive way to remember our Star fulfilling her dreams,” Shweta tweeted on Saturday.
Besides Ankita, many fans took to Twitter to show that they contributed to fulfilling Sushant’s dream.
One wrote: “# Plants4SSR Ready to achieve the dream of SSR”.
Another posted: “I planted these plants in memory of sushant as his dream. May his soul rest in peace. We will fight until we get justice for sushant. # Plants4SSR.”
Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai home on June 14. Initially, the Mumbai police had said that it was a suicide case. Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her family were accused by the late actor’s father, KK Singh, of inciting his son’s suicide, among other charges.
Now, his death is being investigated by CBI, the Office of Narcotics Control and the Directorate of Enforcement.
