The hospital’s medical board was scheduled to meet Monday to decide on further treatment plans for Ganguly, who was admitted on Saturday. The board met today at 11:30 am with some medical specialists who joined the Zoom video calling platform to review Ganguly’s medical records and clinical status.

“The unanimous decision was that during the acute heart attack stage an excellent appropriate and timely treatment of primary PTCA with revascularization of the RCA was provided,” reads a medical bulletin published by the hospital.

“The discussion also focused on the other two coronary blocks, namely LAD and OM2, which should be treated by angioplasty on this admission versus at an immediate later stage.

“The consensus of the board was that postponing angioplasty for now is considered a safer option, as Mr. Ganguly is stable, with no chest pain and is on optimal medical treatment,” the bulletin reads.

Ganguly’s family members were also present during the meeting and were explained about the “disease process and the subsequent treatment plan.”

Doctors treating Ganguly will constantly monitor his health situation, the bulletin said, adding that appropriate measures will also be taken at home once Ganguly is discharged.
