A 27-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh died in the United States after she accidentally slipped and fell from a waterfall while taking a selfie with her fiancé.
Polavarapu Kamala and her fiancé had been visiting the Bald River Falls in Tennessee when the couple fell from the waterfall while trying to take a selfie. As the man was rescued by passersby, Kamala was reported missing. She was later found under a log and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until first responders arrived on the scene, according to a report in The News Minute.
She was taken to Sweetwater Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Hailing from the Krishna district, Kamala had gone to the United States for higher education and was working in Ohio after graduation. Her final rites will probably take place in India.
