An excavation at MS Dhoni? Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh raise their eyebrows with their tweets

The latest tweets from former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh are raising a series of eyebrows and fans are suggesting that they both took a look at MS Dhoni. Irfan Pathan retired from all forms of cricket earlier this year, while Harbhajan Singh is still active, but has not played for India since 2016.

Irfan Pathan last played for India in 2012 and was never close to winning a retirement after that. He played home cricket and IPL after that, but couldn’t really force his way to the side. On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh’s international career is almost over.

While he last played for India in 2016, it would not be wrong to say that he was out of the game since 2012. His last ODI appearance was in 2015 when he played seven games that year. Before that, he had last played an ODI in 2011.

Dig in MS Dhoni?

On Saturday, both Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh surprised many with their tweets. Irfan Pathan was the first to tweet when he posted a cryptic tweet, writing: “Age is just a number for some and for others a reason to be discarded …”.

Interestingly, the tweet came just one day after Dhoni struggled with his fitness during the Chennai Super Kings vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad clash at IPL 2020. While Dhoni received support from various quarters for fighting hard despite being 39, Irfan Pathan may not have been. too happy with it.

Harbhajan Singh, who withdrew from IPL 2020 last month, was quick to endorse Irfan Pathan, writing:

“10,000,000 percent agree with you. @IrfanPathan “

This is not the first time that Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh have expressed disappointment at not having received support from the team’s leadership. Earlier this year, Irfan had criticized Dhoni and the team’s management after announcing his retirement, saying:

“Many people feel that I did not have the backing of the captain or the team management. I think that is not under my control. All that mattered to me was doing well for the team and I’m glad I was able to do it. But yes, one thing disappoints me. When I took my 300th lot, I was 27 years old. People peak at 27, but I didn’t play international cricket after that. Why? I don’t have an answer for that. Perhaps, in the future, things will come to light.

In May this year, Harbhajan had also said that he was not supported because “they” felt he was too old.

“They won’t look at me because they feel like I’m too old. Also, I don’t play any domestic cricket. [In the] The last four or five years they didn’t look at me even though I was doing well in the IPL, taking lands and had all my records to back up my case. ” He had said ESPNcricinfo.
