Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra FadnavisAmurta Fadnavis’s wife has retrained her weapons in the Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray in order not to reopen religious sites.

The policy on not allowing the reopening of places of worship in the state has been intensified and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been pushing to reopen religious venues that are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday, in the middle of the letter war between the CM and the governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Amruta questioned why temples are considered a threat while bars and liquor stores are allowed to reopen. In his letter, Koshyari had mentioned that it is “ironic that while, on the one hand, the state government allowed the opening of bars, restaurants and beaches, our gods and goddesses have been condemned to remain locked up.”

“Definitely a ‘certificate’ is sometimes required to prove the sanity of some dangerous creatures that are incapable of implementing SOP,” he wrote on Twitter, alluding to Uddhav ThackerayThe Governor’s reply saying you don’t need any Governor’s certificate for your Hindutva.

This is not the first time Amruta Fadnavis he has criticized the government of Maharashtra. To call the Cabinet Minister Aaditya thackeray a cocoon worm to launch attacks against the CM, has expressed its opinions and views on the political affairs of the state.

Meanwhile, an ugly letter battle broke out between Koshyari and Thackeray after the former wrote a letter to the CM about the representations received by his office demanding the reopening of places of religious worship, closed since late March. It was not the lyrics themselves, but their ‘endless tone and tenor’ as Sharad Pawar This is what he called it, which has been questioned by allies of the MVA government, since both Congress and the NCP took a step forward to question the Governor’s letter.

Thackeray responded to Koshyari’s letter saying that he will consider the request, but stated that he does not need the governor’s certificate for “Hindutva” even as BJP workers held protests in front of the Siddhivinayak temple and the Shridi Sai Baba temple demanding the reopening of places of worship, where social distancing was almost forgotten.

The chairman of the Nationalist Congress Party, Sharad Pawar, has complained to the Prime Minister expressing shock at the language used in the Governor’s letter to the CM.
