Amitabh Gupta, who issued a special pass for the Wadhwan brothers, is Pune’s new police commissioner.


IPS Officer Amitabh gupta who issued a special pass for the Wadhwan brothers to travel from Lonavala to Mahabaleshwar, has been rewarded by the state government with a special post. He has been appointed commissioner of police, Pune and at present he holds the post of chief secretary (law and order) in the interior department of Mantralaya.

Pune Police Commissioner Dr. K Venkatesham it has become the new additional DG for special operations. Gupta is replaced by Vinegar agarwal who was repatriated from ED.

The investigation committee against Gupta had suggested that he should be censored.

Meanwhile, Additional Commissioner Manoj Sharma, who was in charge of West Mumbai, is now Additional Commissioner in the state security corporation. High-profile IPS officer Shivdeep Lande, who was promoted to DIG, is now included in the ATS.

The former additional commissioner for the southern region of Mumbai, Nishit Mishra, is now in charge of the protection branch. DCP in Mumbai Trafficking Branch Ranjan Sharma, which is promoted, is now published in the state CID.

Ankit Goyal, Deputy Commissioner of Mumbais Zone 10, is now transferred as superintendent of Gadchiroli.

The state has transferred a total of 22 deputy commissioners and police superintendents. Soon there will be another list.
