Amid the continuing clash with China in Ladakh, Union Interior Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that Modi’s government is fully alert to secure every inch of the country’s land and that no one can take it away.
Shah also said that the government is taking all possible military and diplomatic measures to resolve the confrontation in Ladakh with China.
“We are attentive to every inch of our land, no one can take it away … Our defense forces and leadership are capable of defending the sovereignty and border of the country,” he told CNN News18 when asked if China had entered Indian territory. .
The interior minister also said that the government is committed to protecting the sovereignty and security of the country.
Referring to the upcoming elections in Bihar, Shah expressed confidence that the NDA will win a two-thirds majority.
He said Nitish Kumar will be the next chief minister of the state after the elections.
The interior minister said that there will be a change of government in West Bengal after next year’s assembly elections and a BJP government will take power there.
“We believe that we will have a determined fight in West Bengal and we will form the government,” he said.
He also said that the law and order situation in West Bengal is dire and political parties like the BJP have every right to seek the imposition of the president’s government there.
“However, the central government will make an appropriate decision taking into account the Constitution and based on the governor’s report,” he said.
When asked if the BJP will reclaim the post of chief minister in Bihar if the saffron party wins more seats than the ally JD (U) headed by Nitish Kumar, he said: “There is no yes or no prime minister of Bihar. We have made a public announcement and we are committed to it. “
Speaking about the Lok Janshakti Party’s break with the ruling alliance in Bihar, Shah said the party was offered adequate seats, but still backed away from the alliance.
“It was their (LJP) decision, not ours,” he said.
