Hours after AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi K Palanaiswami declared that the party’s alliance with the BJP would continue in the 2021 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, Interior Minister Amit Shah, held a meeting with members of the state party in a private hotel to discuss political strategy. for the next polls.

In his 1.5 hour meeting with more than 200 party members, Shah cited examples of how the BJP made progress in states like Tripura and Bihar and expressed confidence that the same formula could work in states like Tamil Nadu.

The interior minister assured the party cadre that if each of them worked tirelessly and devoted himself to the party for the next five years, the BJP could “rule the state.”

At the meeting, some BJP members objected to the party’s alliance with AIADMK to which Shah responded by saying that the core leadership team would take care of things at the alliance front.

Some of the leaders after attending the meeting told reporters that the BJP will be part of the coalition government in 2021.
