India-China Separation: Army Tanks and Armored Personnel Carriers at Forward Locations in Eastern Ladakh

The Center has released a video showing Indian Army tanks and armored personnel carriers at forward locations in eastern Ladakh, the scene of the clash with China from April-May. The videos show rows of T-90 tanks and BMP vehicles at Chumar-Demchock, possibly the tallest deployed tank formation in the world.
India has repeatedly insisted on the need to ensure “stability on the ground” after the latest round of Chinese provocation on August 31. Chinese soldiers had attempted to enter the Indian side of the Royal Line of Control near the southern shore of Ladakh. Pangong Lake.

” Fire and Fury Corps is the only formation in the Indian Army and also in the world that has deployed mechanized forces on such harsh terrain. The maintenance of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and heavy weapons is a challenge in this terrain, ” said Major General Arvind Kapoor, 14th Corps Chief of Staff.
BMP vehicles can operate in temperatures down to minus 40 degrees Celsius.
China has also increased its firepower in high-altitude areas of Ladakh. Earlier this month, the Global Times editor tweeted a video of a high-altitude military exercise in the Tibet Autonomous Region. The video, which showed a series of multi-barreled rocket launchers in action, came hours before talks between the two nations’ foreign ministers.
In his recent statement to the Lok Sabha, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had issued what was seen as a clear warning to China, saying that India is “very serious about sovereignty issues” and that the country is prepared for “all contingencies” to ensure it is maintained.
India, however, has maintained that it is willing to solve the border problem peacefully and wants the Chinese side to “work together with us.”
