HYDERABAD: In a great relief to Telangan State’s youth awaiting employment for the past few years, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao ordered the Chief Secretary to take immediate action to fill all vacancies in government departments.
Upon his return from a three-day tour of Delhi on Sunday, Rao conducted a review with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and other senior officials to assess vacancies in various departments. Rao ordered Kumar to notify the vacant position by department and issue a notice for hiring as soon as possible.
Speaking later, the Chief Minister said: “The main information suggests that there are around 50,000 vacancies in the state in various departments. We have to fill them. Teachers and police must be recruited by the thousands ”.
He told officers to gather details about job openings in teachers, police, and other departments.
According to sources, the Chief Minister suggested an assessment of the number of employees needed for each department and determining the cadre strength of each wing and, if additional staff and officers were needed in any of the departments, those additional vacancies would also be included in the hiring notifications. .
