‘All problems solved’: TMC’s top brass after meeting Suvendu

Trinamool Congress Leader Abhishek Banerjee and Election Strategist Prashant Kishor met Tuesday Suvendu Adhikari, who resigned as minister in the West Bengal government last week, after which the party claimed that all problems had been resolved.

The meeting, which lasted two hours, took place in a place in the north of Calcutta. Top party leaders Saugata Roy and Sudip Bandopadhyay were also present at the meeting.

“The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. All problems have been resolved. The party is united. It was necessary to have a face-to-face meeting to solve the problems. So it was done, ”Roy told PTI.

Adhikari, the face of the Nandigram movement that added to the political weight of Mamata Banerjee and catapulted her to power, resigned from her cabinet on Friday, sparking speculation that she might resign from the ruling TMC before state assembly elections next year.
