Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar took to social media on Saturday to post a video. In the video, he asked his fans to keep showering their favorite celebrities with love and support. Kumar also accepted that, like any other industry, there are also some flaws in the Hindi film industry.

Opening the video on an emotional note, the Bell Bottom actor said: “Today I speak to you with a heavy heart. In the last few weeks, I wanted to say a few things, but there was so much negativity all over the place that I couldn’t figure out what to say, how much to say, or who to say it to. “

He added: “Although they call us stars, it is you (the public) who have made Bollywood what it is, with your love. We are not just an industry. Through movies, we have promoted the values and culture of India. The films have tried to translate the emotions of the people of the country, be it the rage of the angry young man, corruption or unemployment. So today, if you are angry, we accept that anger. “

Akshay Kumar mentioned how after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, many truths about the film industry were revealed. He acknowledged the existence of the narcotics and drugs problem in Bollywood.

“After the sudden death of Sushant Singh Rajput, many problems have arisen that have hurt us as much as you. Furthermore, these problems have made us look inward and focus on many ills in the Hindi film industry. Like, now they talk about narcotics and drugs. The narcotics and drugs problem exists in Bollywood, I agree, but to say that everyone is involved in it is not correct. Drugs are a legal matter, and I am confident that any action taken by our law enforcement authorities today will be correct. Also, everyone in the industry will cooperate with them in the investigation, ”shared Kumar.

Asking his fans not to drag all celebrities into the controversy, Akshay Kumar said: “I ask everyone not to see all Bollywood celebrities as guilty. This is not OK.”

Kumar also asked the media to report some issues with sensitivity. He said: “I have always believed in the power of the media. If our media does not capture the right issues at the right time, many people will not find a voice and justice will not be served. I trust the media. I ask you to continue to raise your voice but with some sensitivity because negative news can destroy the reputation of a person who has been built with a lot of work ”.

At the conclusion of the video, Akshay Kumar asked his fans for their love and support and said, “To the fans, I would like to tell you that you are the ones who created us. If you are upset with us, we will work on our flaws and earn your love and trust. We are there thanks to you. Please be there for us. Thank you.”
