Akshay Kumar donates for the construction of Ram Mandir of Ayodhya, urges everyone to contribute; see | People News


Mumbai: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Sunday (Jan 17, 2021) said that he had donated for the construction of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. The 53-year-old took to his social media accounts and also urged everyone to contribute.

He said, “It is a great pleasure that the construction of our great Shri Ram temple has started in Ayodhya. Now it is our turn to contribute. I have started, I hope you will join. Jai Siyaram.”

In particular, the inauguration ceremony of Ram Mandir of Ayodhya was performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2020.

Recently, President Ram Nath Kovind had also met with a delegation from the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and had presented a check for Rs 5,00,100 lakh from his personal account made out to the Foundation.

Earlier, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Shetra Trust had announced that the Ram Temple in Ayodhya would be built using only national funds raised from the general public through a massive outreach program.

Champat Rai, general secretary of the trust, stressed that the trust will initiate the campaign of contacts and massive contributions throughout the country for the construction of the temple. He said the trust did not have the required approval to accept donations from abroad.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in August 2020 had said that the Ram Mandir construction had started in Ayodhya and that engineers from CBRI Roorkee, IIT Madras along with Larsen and Toubro are testing the soil at the Mandir site.

The Ram Temple Trust expressed hope that the construction work will be completed in 36-40 months.
