Agricultural leaders said on Tuesday that they have asked British and Punjabi leaders to call on British Prime Minister Boris Johnson not to come to India as the main guest of next year’s Republic Day event until the Center repeal your “black laws”.

The leaders also said they have postponed their meeting one day until Wednesday, to decide on a response to the government’s letter asking them to set a date for the next round of talks. In addition, they called for “boycotting all Ambani and Adani stores.”

In Punjab, agricultural leaders criticized the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar’s new call for talks, saying that instead of responding to his demand to remove the three laws, the government is engaging in “propaganda” to promote them.

Speaking to reporters at the Singhu border, Harender Singh Lakhowal, BKU (Lakhowal) state coordinator, said: “We are requesting the British Prime Minister not to come to India until the farmers’ demands are met. We have made the appeal through leaders of Punjab who are now in politics in England and have won elections there. “

Last week, visiting British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab announced that Johnson would be the main guest at the Republic Day celebrations in January. Raab also said that he “discussed” the situation that arose from the farmers’ protests with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, stressing that “his policy” is, in a sense, “our policy” because of the Indian diaspora in Britain.
