Meanwhile, the Army said that it concluded the investigation ordered by the Army authorities on Operation Amshipora and added that during the operation the powers conferred by the Special Powers of the Armed Forces Act (AFSPA) of 1990 were exceeded.
According to an official statement, the investigation has yielded some prima facie evidence indicating that during the operation, the powers conferred by the 1990 AFSPA were exceeded and what the Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS) approved by the Army should and should not do. the Supreme Court. have been infringed.
Consequently, the competent disciplinary authority has ordered the initiation of a disciplinary process under the Army Law against those who prima facie respond.
