New Delhi: After the President of the United States, Donald Trump, the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, thanked India for the supply of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of patients with coronavirus. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bolsonaro said that his country will also be able to treat patients with lupus, malaria and arthritis due to India’s decision to supply hydroxychloroquine.
“We have more good news. As a result of my direct conversation with the Prime Minister of India, we will receive raw materials on Saturday to continue our production of hydroxychloroquine so that we can treat patients with COVID-19 and with Lupus, Malaria and arthritis. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India for their timely help to the people of Brazil, “Bolsonaro said.
On Wednesday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, thanked Prime Minister Modi for India’s decision to supply the anti-coronavirus medication to that nation.
“Extraordinary times require even closer cooperation among friends. Thank you, India and the Indians, for the decision on hydroxychloroquine. It will not be forgotten! Thank you, PM Modi, for your strong leadership in helping not only India, but humanity. fight! ” Trump said.
His thanks were a departure from his previous stance, in which he had threatened “retaliation” if India did not clear the supply of hydroxychloroquine.
While the United States has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world, Brazil has confirmed nearly 16,000 coronavirus cases, with 800 deaths so far.
