Shibani Dandekar’s sister, VJ and TV host Anusha Dandekar, has come out in support of Rhea Chakraborty, who has been accused by Sushant Singh Rajput’s family of being an accessory to her suicide, and criticized the interpretation that the media make her on the case. On Wednesday, Shibani Dandekar wrote a note in support of Rhea and said, “I am with you always.”
Commenting on Shibani’s post, Anusha wrote: “I’m crying, my heart hurts knowing what they are doing to our bunny … She is our baby sister forever #justiceforrhea.”
Earlier, Shibani had written a lengthy story, condemning the media for “(behaving) like vultures on a witch hunt, vilifying and torturing an innocent family to the limit.” He said that he had known Rhea for more than a decade and that she and her family were undergoing “unimaginable trauma.”
“Her basic human rights were taken away from her as a judge, jury and executioner of the media game! We have seen the death of journalism and the terrifying side of humanity! What was your crime? She loved a child, cared for him through his darkest days, put her life on hold to be there for him and when he … took his own life, she was crucified. What have we become? Shibani had written, describing the effect it had on Rhea’s family.

“I’m sorry so many people let you down, doubted you, they weren’t there for you when you needed them most. I’m sorry that the best thing you have done in your life (taking care of Sushant) has led to the worst experience of your life … I am so sorry … I am with you always. #JusticeforRhea, ”he added.
In an interview recently, Rhea said that the media coverage was affecting her mother, to the point that she would have to be hospitalized at any moment. Rhea’s possible role in Sushant’s death is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Many members of the film fraternity, including Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Minissha Lamba and Lakshmi Manchu, have condemned Rea’s “media trial.” They have urged the media to let the law take its course and not prematurely convict her.
