Renowned Tamil speaker Tamizharuvi Manian, a staunch supporter of superstar Rajinikanth, announced today that he is “leaving politics”, a day after the actor said he would not venture into politics.
Without naming the actor or his decision, Manian, a former congressional leader, accused the two main Dravidian parties, AIADMK and DMK, of a drop in the standards of public life in Tamil Nadu over the past 50 years and of corruption. rampant in politics.

However, such efforts did not come to fruition when the actor reversed his plan and left politics, Manian hinted.
“There is no value for honesty, truth and discipline and there is nothing to achieve in the world of politics that does not distinguish between a ruby and a pebble,” he said in a statement.
In his quest for honest politics, he was hit below the belt and his family was also affected by such unfair criticism, said Manian, who is also the chairman of Gandhiya Makkal Iyakkam (GMI).
He stated: “I am leaving politics and will never return to politics.”
A Tamil Nadu free from liquor and free from corruption, good governance are among GMI’s goals.
Rajinikanth announced on Tuesday that he will not venture into politics given his health condition and the prevailing coronavirus pandemic.
On December 3, the actor appointed Arjunamurthy, formerly of the BJP and Mr. Manian, to oversee and coordinate the preparations for the launch of his proposed party.
In 2016, Rajinikanth underwent a kidney transplant and said he was taking immunosuppressants, making him comparatively more vulnerable to contracting diseases, including those triggered by a virus.
