The owner of a Mumbai sweet shop covered the word ‘Karachi’ in grabbing his establishment with a newspaper on Thursday after a Shiv Sena leader allegedly asked him to drop the Pakistani city’s name, the agency reported. news ANI. Shiv Sena’s leader Nitin Nandgaonkar had asked the owner of Karachi Sweets to change the name of the shop to something “Marathi”.
“You have to, we are giving you time. Change ‘Karachi’ to something in Marathi, ”Nandgaonkar said according to ANI. In a viral video, the Seine leader can be heard telling the store owner to change the name to anything “except Karachi, which reminds him of Pakistan.”
He told the owner of ‘Karachi Sweets’ that he would visit him again in 15 days and asked him to seek any help that might be needed to change the name at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) office.
