A day after the Gujarat high Court pulled up the state government for the management of the coronavirus pandemic, Deputy Chief Minister and the Health Minister, Nitin Patel defended the administration and—in particular—to himself, saying that he had taken a risk by visiting several hospitals to take actions despite your age. The minister will be 65 years of age in the month of June.

A division bench of the high court had Saturday described Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, the state’s largest Covid-19 of the installation, as being “worse than a dungeon.” The court even asked if Patel and Chief Secretary, Anil Mukim had no idea about the problems faced by the patients and the staff.
Patel told reporters that the government’s response to the court.
He added, “In the past two months, I have visited the civil hospital five times. I have had three meetings with the experienced and well-known private doctors and the elders of the civil hospital, kidney hospital, heart hospital in the interior of the civil hospital campus… Chief Principal Secretary to CM K Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, who is the celebration of the special responsibility of Civil hospital, and the Director, the Secretary (of Health) Jayanti Ravi were also present in these meetings,” said Patel.

Citing Patel, an official release said, “I’m going to be 65 on the 22nd of June. According to the guidelines, it is risky for citizens of the third age to move. Our members of the family are also concerned and that prevents us from coming to light. In such a scenario, I have never avoided to go.”
